Lockwood Products is engaged in the design, manufacture, marketing, sales and service of deaerating systems, boiler feed systems, condensate return systems, heat recovery systems, cooling towers, circulating pumps, centrifugal and turbine pumps and miscellaneous auxiliary low pressure steam boiler system equipment.
These systems are used primarily for low pressure steam boilers used for heating or process applications, industrially, commercially and institutionally. Lockwood Products is an OEM for many of the companies manufacturing components of its equipment and systems.

Blowdown Separators
Lockwood Products manufactures one blowdown separator, detailed below:
Type BDS
Standard Features:
- Tanks constructed in accordance with ASME Code Section VIII, Div. 1 and National Board Certification
- Standard 250 PSI Construction
- Special thickness available to meet local and state codes
- High velocity circulation allows the pressure to be released, steam flash to exit the vent, and water and sludge to pass through the drain
- Stainless wear plate to retard erosion
- Aftercooling assembly available to meet limits for temperature control for entrance to public sewer
Boiler Feed Systems


Lockwood boiler feed systems are packaged, atmospheric-pressure, storage tanks built for commercial or industrial steam systems. Key features include:

Type G

Type VCM

Type BMX

Condensate Return Systems

Lockwood Products manufactures two types of condensate return systems. Key features include:
- Single and Multi-Pump Configurations
- Cast Iron, Stainless Steel, and Steel Receivers
- Available 2 ft. NPSH Pumps
Type VCS
Lockwood Type VCS Condensate Return Systems are available in simplex, duplex, triplex or quadruplex configurations from 1,000 to 100,000 sq. ft. EDR capacities. Discharge pressures from 10-40 PSI are available on units equipped with 1750 rpm motors; 15-75 PSI on 3500 rpm units. Standard selections use 1750 rpm motors only on 10 PSI applications.
Cast iron, rectangular receivers are available with 15 to 110 gallon capacities. Heavy-duty, welded, rust resistant, copper bearing steel receivers are available in rectangular or cylindrical configurations with capacities ranging from 21 to 1,000 gallons.
Type VMX
Lockwood Type VXM Condensate Return Systems are available in simplex or duplex configurations from 5,000 to 12,000 sq. ft. EDR capacities. Discharge pressures from 20-40 PSI.
Cast iron receivers are available in 6, 15, 21 & 45 gallon sizes for simplex units; 15, 21 & 45 gallon sizes for duplex units. Copper bearing steel receivers are available in 10, 20 & 45 gallon sizes for simplex units; 20 & 45 gallon sizes for duplex units.

Type SS – 0.005cc/Liter
The Lockwood Type SS Deaerator is a “tank car” design spray scrubber deaerator. The vessel includes a vertical deaerating section and a horizontal storage section.

Type SS deaerators are designed to reduce the dissolved oxygen content of the feedwater to no more than 0.005 cc/liter (7 ppb) and reduce the titratable free carbon dioxide to zero. Good for commercial and light industrial applications.
Type SSL – 0.005cc/Liter
The Lockwood Type SSL deaerator is a low profile spray scrubber deaerator. The vessel includes a deaerating section that is integral to the horizontal storage section.

Type SSL deaerators are designed to reduce the dissolved oxygen content of the feedwater to no more than 0.005 cc/liter (7 ppb) and reduce the titratable free carbon dioxide to zero.
Type SSLD – 0.005cc/Liter
The Lockwood Type SSLD deaerator is a dual compartment spray scrubber deaerator. This is the dual compartment version of the Type SSL deaerator with an integral surge system.
Type ST – 0.005cc/Liter
The Lockwood Type ST deaerator is a spray tray deaerator. The vessel includes a vertical deaerating section and a horizontal storage section.

The ST deaerators are designed to reduce the dissolved oxygen content of the feedwater to no more than 0.005 cc/liter (7 ppb) and reduce the titratable free carbon dioxide to zero. Typically reserved for large industrial applications.
Type AD – 0.03cc/Liter
The Lockwood Type AD deaerator is a packaged atmospheric deaeration system. The atmospheric design permits gravity returns directly into receiver. Type AD dearaters are designed for oxygen removal to (0.03 cc/liter) for a dual compartment tank. This is a Non-code vessel.
Surge Systems
Lockwood Surge Systems are packaged, atmospheric-pressure, storage tanks built for commercial or industrial steam systems. Surge tanks provide a location where condensate and makeup water can mix before it reaches the deaerator. This results in a more even inlet temperature and smoother operation. A surge tank is recommended when the condensate returns exceed 50%.
