The Lockwood Products Model SSLD deaerator is a dual tank design, pairing an SSL deaerator (low profile spray scrubber design) with a surge tank. The surge tank minimizes thermal shock to the deaerator by providing a location for make-up water to blend with the returned condensate. This blended feed water is then supplied to the deaerator. An SSLD design is often times considered when space is limited.
